Zhongji InnoLight seeks up to $7 billion in Hong Kong listing

Chinese optical components maker Zhongji InnoLight began taking orders on 22 July 2026 for a Hong Kong listing that could raise up to HK$55 billion, or US$7 billion. The Shenzhen-listed company said in a market filing that it planned to list on the Hong Kong stock exchange.

If completed at that size, the share sale would be Hong Kong's largest since Alibaba's US$12.9 billion listing in 2019. The listing is expected to take place on 30 July.

Zhongji InnoLight is offering 54.5 million shares at up to HK$1,010, or US$129, each. Its listing document describes the company as the world's largest maker of optical transceivers.

Optical transceivers convert electrical and light signals into each other so large amounts of digital information can move through optical fibres. They are used in artificial intelligence data centres.

The planned listing comes amid rapid global expansion of data centres as China and the United States compete in the artificial intelligence sector. It is also part of a recent run of large Hong Kong debuts by Chinese companies linked to AI.

Uncertainty notes

The final amount raised will depend on the listing price and completion of the offering.
