Russian attack kills at least 13 as Zelensky urges response
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday that Russia was escalating its four-and-a-half-year invasion of Ukraine with deadly ballistic missile attacks, and urged a global response after an overnight Russian attack killed at least 13 people.
“While Moscow is investing in ballistic missiles and escalation, such strikes do not always receive the response they should from the world,” Zelensky said on social media.
He said Russia would not “consider peace seriously” while Ukraine lacked enough anti-ballistic defence.
Update
An overnight Russian attack killed at least 13 people before Zelensky's appeal.
