Wildberries warehouse hit by drones in Yekaterinburg

A warehouse belonging to Russian e-commerce company Wildberries caught fire in Yekaterinburg on Friday after a drone attack, the company said.

Regional governor Denis Pasler said three drones crashed into the roof of the warehouse early Friday and caused no casualties in the city, which is more than 2,000 kilometres from the border with Ukraine.

Wildberries said firefighters were sent to the logistics centre and that all staff had been moved to safety.

Since mid-July, Ukraine has struck around 20 sites belonging to Wildberries, an online retail platform often described as Russia's Amazon. More than four years after the start of Russia's large-scale offensive against Ukraine, diplomacy is at a standstill and both countries are escalating long-range strikes.
