Wildberries says Ukraine drones hit Russian warehouses

Russian online retailer Wildberries said Ukrainian drones hit two of its warehouses overnight, causing fires at facilities in the Penza region and in Sarapul.

Penza regional governor Oleg Melnichenko said one person was injured and more than 200 employees were evacuated after a drone attack sparked a fire at a Wildberries warehouse in the western Penza region.

Wildberries said logistics chains had been reorganised and that goods receipts and order dispatches were being handled at other sites.

The company said another Wildberries warehouse in Sarapul, about 1,100 kilometres east of Moscow, was hit by a Ukrainian drone and caught fire. Staff were evacuated and, according to preliminary information cited by Wildberries, no one was injured there.

The item said Ukraine first targeted Wildberries warehouses on July 18-19 in the Tambov region and the Moscow region, causing eight casualties and destroying facilities. It said Ukraine has since launched attacks on a number of the company's warehouses around Russia.
