VinSpace signs SpaceX deal for 2027 satellite launch

Vietnamese private space company VinSpace said Tuesday it will launch its first satellites in 2027 under a deal with SpaceX.

VinSpace said the satellites will fly through SpaceX's Transporter rideshare programme, which allows multiple customers to share one launch.

The company was set up last November by Vingroup, the conglomerate owned by Pham Nhat Vuong. VinSpace aims to become Vietnam's leading aerospace company.

Vietnam granted a licence in April to SpaceX's Starlink for the country's first trial of large-scale satellite internet connectivity. Starlink uses low Earth orbit satellites to provide high-speed internet access, including in remote areas.
