Iran Guards say they attacked command centre in Syria
Iran's Revolutionary Guards said Monday that they had launched what they called a surprise attack on an enemy command centre in Syria, state media reported.
The IRNA state news agency said the Guards announced the attack in a statement posted on Telegram. The statement said the target was an enemy special operations command centre in the Al-Tanf region of Syria and described the action as revenge for the blood of soldiers from Iranshahr.
Iran's Tasnim news agency reported Sunday that funerals were held for three soldiers killed in a US attack on a barracks in Iranshahr, in southeastern Iran.
The Guards had also announced on Friday that they had attacked the Al-Tanf base. The report said the Syrian army took control of the base in February after the United States withdrew. A Syrian military source later denied that any attack had taken place.
The Al-Tanf base is near Syria's southeastern borders with Jordan and Iraq.

The Guards said the attack was carried out in revenge for the blood of martyred soldiers of Iranshahr, a city in southeast Iran.
