UN chief urges de-escalation in Iran-US fighting

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called Wednesday for de-escalation and a resumption of talks as fighting between Iran and the United States flared again, his spokesman said.

Guterres called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, avoid further escalatory action and take immediate steps to de-escalate, spokesman Stephane Dujarric told a briefing.
