UN chief says Golan Heights area situation is unacceptable

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Saturday that the situation around Syria's Golan Heights was unacceptable. He made the comment at a press conference with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani. Shaibani called for an immediate and unconditional Israeli withdrawal from a UN-patrolled buffer zone where the source said Israeli forces deployed in 2024.
