Ukraine strikes kill 6 in Russia and Crimea: officials

Russian local officials said Monday that Ukrainian strikes killed six people at a Black Sea resort village in Russia and in Moscow-annexed Crimea.

Venyamin Kondratyev, governor of Russia's Krasnodar region, said three people were killed in Arkhipo-Osipovka, on the Black Sea coast, because of falling drone debris. He said another 13 people, including children, were wounded and said the attack targeted civilian infrastructure.

In Crimea, Moscow-installed governor Sergey Aksyonov said an overnight Ukrainian strike killed three civilians. He did not say exactly where the strike took place or give details about the victims.

Russia began its full-scale offensive against Ukraine in February 2022 and has regularly struck Ukrainian towns and cities, including from Crimea. Ukraine has launched frequent drone strikes into Russia and has intensified counter-strikes on Crimea, which Moscow seized in 2014.
