Turkey says Saudi-Pakistan defence pact targets no country
Turkey said on Friday that a joint defence pact with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan was not aimed at any particular country.
Burhanettin Duran, the Turkish presidency's communications director, wrote on X that the Mecca Agreement would strengthen the three countries' shared security and collective deterrence.
Duran said the pact would make “significant contributions” to preserving peace and stability in the region. The statement came amid the US-Iran war.
