Trump threatens Houthis and Iran after Red Sea tanker attacks
US President Donald Trump threatened Yemen's Houthi rebels with what he called major military punishment after they launched missile and drone strikes on oil tankers in the Red Sea.
Trump said on his Truth Social network that the United States would hold Iran responsible because he described the Houthis as a surrogate or proxy of Iran. He said major military punishment would be inflicted on Iran and on the Houthis themselves if the rebels carried out further attacks.
