Trump says frozen Iranian assets will cover Gulf shipping damage
President Donald Trump said Thursday that the United States would begin using frozen Iranian assets it controls to pay for damage to ships, cargo or related property caused by strikes in and around the Gulf. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that, until further notice, any such damage would be paid for with Iranian money held and controlled by the United States.
