Trump Media posts $238 million second-quarter loss
Trump Media & Technology Group posted a $238.1 million loss for the second quarter, as the parent company of President Donald Trump's Truth Social platform reported declines in the value of digital assets.
The company said Monday that the loss covered the quarter ending June 30. It reported a $20 million loss in the same quarter a year earlier.
Trump Media said the shortfall was largely due to declines in non-cash assets, including more than $190 million in losses from digital assets, digital assets pledged and equity securities.
Revenue was $1.7 million, up 89 percent from the same period last year. The company also said it was well positioned to complete its proposed merger with nuclear-fusion company TAE Technologies in 2026.
