Taylor Swift fans buy wedding-area trash for $25

Taylor Swift fans have paid $25 each for pieces of trash collected near the pop star's wedding to NFL player Travis Kelce in New York.

Artist Justin Gignac said he gathered the items last Friday from streets around Madison Square Garden, where the wedding was held for hundreds of celebrity guests. He said the garbage came from outside the barriers around the venue, not from inside it.

The items included water bottle caps, ring-pop candy, police caution tape, straws, utensils, cigarette butts, an ovulation test kit and a single left AirPod. Each was sealed inside a small plastic cube and described online as a sculpture.

Gignac said all 50 items sold within 24 hours of sales starting by Wednesday, bringing in $1,250. He said buyers were Swift fans seeking “a tangential piece of the wedding,” and that he may sell more items.
