Spain GDP grows 0.7% in second quarter

Spain's economy grew 0.7% in the second quarter of 2026, the National Statistics Institute said Thursday in a provisional estimate.

The figure was higher than the 0.6% growth recorded in the first quarter.

Economy Minister Carlos Cuerpo called it “solid growth” and said it was driven by investment. He also cited a “complex international context” and said conflict in the Middle East had affected fuel prices and pushed inflation higher.
