Sex doll mistaken for murder victim in Australia

A lifelike sex doll found inside an abandoned suitcase in rural Australia was briefly treated as a possible murder victim before forensic checks showed it was a doll, New South Wales police said.

Two men found the suitcase while driving through the countryside on Sunday, August 9. Police initially set up a strike force of homicide detectives and forensic experts.

Public broadcaster ABC reported that tests showed the suitcase contained a lifelike sex doll. New South Wales Police Superintendent Linda Bradbury said the contents were “mistaken for a human originally” because they looked realistic.

Police said the doll had clothes, hair, a nose piercing and markings resembling bruises and grazes. Police said the investigation had concluded.
