Aramco CEO says Houthi attacks had no material impact

Saudi Aramco chief executive Amin H. Nasser said Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia had "no material impact," after the company reported a 44% year-on-year rise in second-quarter profit.

The Saudi state-majority-owned oil company said net profit reached 122.6 billion Saudi riyals, or $32.7 billion, in the second quarter. It reported net income of 85 billion riyals, or $22.67 billion, in the same period in 2025.

Excluding exceptional items, adjusted net income for April to June 2026 was 125.1 billion riyals, or $33.4 billion.

Nasser also said the company maintained business continuity despite what he called an unprecedented supply disruption through the Strait of Hormuz. He cited Aramco's asset base and long-term planning, including the East-West Pipeline, storage capacity and export terminals.

Fighting in the Gulf continues to restrict hydrocarbon shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran's Houthi allies in Yemen announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea last month.
