Russian governor says Ukrainian strike in Kirov killed six
A Russian regional governor said a Ukrainian strike on Friday killed six people and wounded 26 in Kirov, more than 1,000 kilometres behind the front line.
Kirov regional governor Alexander Sokolov said on social media that 32 people were affected by what he called an attack by Kyiv. He said six people died at the scene.
The report said Sokolov's comments came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his army had struck a military facility in the city.
