Rubio urges Cuba to release more than 700 political prisoners
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio urged Cuba on Saturday to immediately release more than 700 people he described as unjustly detained political prisoners.
Rubio made the call as Cuban dissident artist Luis Manuel Otero Alcantara arrived in Miami after five years in prison. In a statement, Rubio confirmed Otero Alcantara's arrival in the United States.
Rubio said the international community should stop ignoring what he called human rights abuses by the Cuban regime and should join the United States in demanding an end to repression.
