Roony Bardghji faces surgery after ACL rupture

Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji faces surgery in the coming days after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, the Spanish champions said Tuesday.

The 20-year-old Sweden player, who joined Barcelona from Copenhagen last summer, was injured in training on Monday.

Catalan press reports said Bardghji could be sidelined for at least six to seven months.

He played 28 matches last season as back-up to Lamine Yamal and had been tipped to leave the club after the arrivals of England winger Anthony Gordon and Germany international Karim Adeyemi.
