Real Madrid says revenue topped €1.2bn despite drought

Real Madrid said its revenue exceeded €1.2 billion for the first time in the 2025/2026 season, even though the Spanish club failed to win a trophy.

The club said operating revenue, excluding player transfer income, rose 3.1% from the previous financial year to €1.221 billion ($1.39 billion). It reported profit after tax of €26 million ($30 million), up 8% from 2024/25.

Real Madrid said income from the renovated Santiago Bernabeu stadium rose 11% to €363 million ($413 million), and that new sponsorships also helped the result. The club said no other sports organisation had reached the €1.2 billion revenue mark.

Madrid appointed Jose Mourinho as coach in June to replace Alvaro Arbeloa after two seasons without a major trophy, and have already signed players including Bernardo Silva and Marc Cucurella this summer.
