Plazma Youth Sports Games marks 30th season in Split
The Plazma Youth Sports Games will mark their 30th season with central celebrations in Split from August 17 to 22, organisers said, including an official ceremony at the Croatian National Theatre Split and an All-Star exhibition football match at Prokurative on Friday, August 21.
Organisers said Goran Ivanišević, Ana Ivanović and European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner will be announced as new ambassadors at the ceremony.
The programme also includes a chess exhibition with English grandmaster Nigel Short, 3x3 basketball finals, a closing ceremony on Split's Riva and a Zero Waste quiz linked to the Games' environmental project.
Organisers said the Games have brought together more than 3,869,000 children and young people over three decades and now include Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia and North Macedonia.
