Philippines landslide kills 10 as Typhoon Bavi toll hits 15
A landslide in the southern Philippines killed 10 people after days of rain from Typhoon Bavi saturated soil in Sarangani province, authorities said Friday.
“Ten people got buried and were killed,” regional civil defence director Rodrigo Sosmena said.
The deaths brought the storm's death toll to at least 15. Earlier Friday, at least five people were confirmed dead and six others were missing in a separate landslide on the island of Mindanao.
