Pakistan PM, army chief to visit Saudi Arabia
Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and army chief Asim Munir will visit Saudi Arabia from August 6 to 8, the country's foreign office said on Thursday.
Foreign ministry spokesman Tahir Andrabi said the visit was taking place “against the backdrop of heightened tensions in the Gulf” and would carry significance beyond the immediate crisis.
Pakistan has been mediating to end the US-Iran war, which has drawn in Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia.
