Sumy official says drone strike on post office killed two people

A drone strike killed two people in Sumy in northern Ukraine, the head of the city's military administration said Saturday.

Sergiy Kryvosheenko said a jet-powered drone struck a post office. He said two people were killed, including a 49-year-old man, and that officials were still establishing the identity of the second man.

In Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine, the head of the military administration, Ivan Fedorov, said a man was injured in what he called an enemy attack.

The strikes came a day after a Russian missile attack on a demonstration of military equipment in the Kyiv region. That attack killed at least 10 people and wounded nearly 100 others.

On the Russian side, the acting governor of Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, reported early Saturday what he called a massive enemy drone attack on the city of Belgorod. He said wounded people had been taken to hospitals and that there was damage and fires on streets, where fire crews were working.
