New Zealand councillor joins meeting from bathroom

New Zealand councillor Jo Galer joined a Dunedin City Council meeting from a bathroom, with laundry visible behind her during a discussion on local government reform.

Mayor Sophie Barker told Galer during the Monday meeting: "You might want to move your camera. We can see your washing."

"Can you see me?" Galer replied. "You can see my washing, you can see me."

The video was posted on YouTube and had been viewed thousands of times. At one point during Galer's speech, a dark figure could be seen behind a door in the background.
