Moscow-installed official says strike killed eight in occupied Kyrylivka
A Ukrainian strike on the Russian-occupied village of Kyrylivka in southern Ukraine killed eight people, including two children, the Moscow-installed head of the Russian-held part of Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region said Saturday.
Yevgeny Balitsky said tourist camps in the seaside village on the Azov Sea were hit at night. He said 14 other people were wounded, including three children, and that rescue work was continuing.
Balitsky accused Ukraine of deliberately targeting civilians. The source did not include a Ukrainian response.
Kyrylivka fell to Russian forces in the first days of Russia's 2022 offensive. The source said civilian deaths in the Russia-Ukraine war have increased this summer, with both sides intensifying attacks.

Balitsky said the attack hit tourist camps in Kyrylivka on the Sea of Azov at night.
