Meta exploited children, misled public, prosecutor says
A California prosecutor told an Oakland courtroom Tuesday that Meta put profits over children’s health and misled the public about the safety of Facebook and Instagram.
Deputy Attorney General Megan O'Neil made the claims in opening arguments. She said the company “exploited how kids' brains work.”
