Macron says EU partners will send aircraft to help France fight fires
French President Emmanuel Macron said France had asked for the EU civil protection mechanism to be activated to help fight forest fires. Macron wrote on X that France would soon receive support from two Croatian Canadair aircraft, two Portuguese Air Tractor aircraft and two heavy-lift Black Hawk helicopters from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
