Kuwait arrests three over alleged IS-linked plot
A Kuwaiti security source told AFP that authorities had arrested three alleged Islamic State group members accused of planning attacks on a Shia mosque and unspecified vital facilities.
The source said the three belonged to one IS cell and included minors.
Kuwait's interior ministry said earlier this week that it had arrested two minors who had been in contact with IS and had received training on making explosives to target a place of worship.
A day later, the ministry said it had arrested a Kuwaiti IS member who had built a drone to attack a vital facility.
About one-third of Kuwait's population belongs to the Shia branch of Islam.
