Karoline Leavitt to join pro-Trump super PAC
Departing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Friday that she will join MAGA Inc., a pro-Trump political fundraising group, when she leaves her post at the end of the month.
MAGA Inc. is a super PAC, a type of political action committee that can raise unlimited money and spend it to influence elections, including through advertising, as long as it does not directly coordinate with candidates or their official campaigns.
Leavitt told journalists she would still join President Donald Trump at a Republican convention in Dallas, Texas, in early September, ahead of November's midterm elections.
Leavitt previously worked for MAGA Inc. from 2022 to 2024 before joining Trump's campaign team. She announced on August 12 that she was leaving her White House role to devote more time to her family.
Asked Friday about a successor, Trump said he had “never had so many job applications in my life.”
Uncertainty notes
Trump has not named Leavitt's successor in the supplied information.
