Japan says cooperation with US, South Korea critical
Japan's defence minister Shinjiro Koizumi said Tuesday that cooperation among Japan, the United States and South Korea was critical to regional peace and stability, after US President Donald Trump scaled back military drills with Seoul.
Speaking in Australia after talks with Australian counterpart Richard Marles, Koizumi said Japan faced “the most severe and complicated security environment in the post-war era”.
