Israel tells Al-Mansouri residents to evacuate
The Israeli military told residents of Al-Mansouri in southern Lebanon to leave their homes immediately on Wednesday ahead of expected attacks against Hezbollah.
“In light of Hezbollah's violations of the ceasefire agreement, the Israel Defense Forces are compelled to act,” Arabic-language spokeswoman Ella Waweya wrote on X. “For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move north.”
The warning was the first of its kind in several weeks. It came after Lebanon and Israel held US-sponsored talks in Rome, with Beirut seeking Israel's phased withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
