Iran says it would answer infrastructure attacks in kind
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Wednesday that Iran would respond in kind to any attack on its infrastructure. His comments came after Washington threatened to bomb a bridge or power plant for every ship targeted in the Strait of Hormuz.
Araghchi wrote on X that Iran's defence doctrine was "eye for an eye" and said any aggression against Iran, including its infrastructure, would bring what he called a powerful and decisive response.
Iran's state broadcaster also quoted the military as saying that US threats would have no result other than expanding the war.
