Iran says it is not negotiating with United States, denies seeking talks
Iran's foreign ministry said Monday that it is not currently negotiating with the United States and denied reports that Tehran had requested talks.
“At present, we are not engaged in any negotiations with the United States,” foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said at a weekly press briefing.
AFP reported that the statement came despite a halt in recent fighting between the two sides.
