Syrian military source denies Iranian strike on Al-Tanf area
A Syrian military source on Friday denied that Iran had bombed the Al-Tanf base near Syria's southeastern borders with Jordan and Iraq. The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said there had been no Iranian bombardment targeting the Al-Tanf area.
The denial came after Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they had targeted the facility in response to US strikes.
US forces said they withdrew from the base earlier this year. US troops had been stationed there as part of a US-led anti-jihadist coalition.
