Iran says it will act to protect security in Strait of Hormuz
Iran said on Monday that it would not allow the Strait of Hormuz to be used by its opponents to threaten the country's security.
Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei told a press conference in Tehran that the waterway must not be misused again to threaten Iran's security and national interests. He said Iran was determined to take necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty.
