GSK Targets £1.9bn Savings After Profit Slump
British drugmaker GSK said Tuesday it was targeting annual savings of £1.9 billion, or $2.5 billion, after second-quarter profit fell.
GSK said net profit in the April-June quarter fell 70 percent from a year earlier to £435 million.
The company said the fall came after it abandoned a chronic cough treatment.
