Germany summons Russian ambassador over alleged cyberattacks

Germany's foreign ministry said it summoned Russia's ambassador on Monday to protest what it described as hostile cyberattacks targeting the European Union. A ministry spokeswoman told reporters that the ambassador was summoned in connection with the cyberattacks. The ministry said the European Union, together with Britain, had imposed new sanctions against Moscow over the attacks.
