Embraer raises 2026 profit outlook after record revenue

Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer said Monday it had raised its 2026 profit outlook after record second-quarter revenue and an all-time high order backlog.

The company said it now expects about $110 million more in profits than previously forecast. Chief financial officer Felipe Santana said most of the increase came from a one-off tax credit of $68 million, described as a refund of previous tariffs.

Embraer said revenue rose 23 percent to $2.24 billion in the second quarter. Its order backlog for commercial, business and military aircraft reached $34.5 billion.

The company delivered 65 aircraft during the quarter, up from 61 a year earlier. Chief executive Francisco Gomes Neto said Embraer had its strongest second-quarter revenue and its highest second-quarter deliveries in 16 years.

Embraer said civil aircraft and aerospace products had been exempted from direct US tariffs on Brazilian goods, but it still expects about $12 million a year in indirect tariff-related costs.

Gomes Neto highlighted an order by the United Arab Emirates for 10 KC-390 military transport aircraft, the company's largest international order for the model to date. Embraer also said its Eve Air Mobility subsidiary had achieved a first transition flight for its electric air taxi prototype.
