Dragon Ball park deal eyed during Saudi crown prince visit

French authorities said they hoped an agreement on a Dragon Ball-themed amusement park would be signed on Monday during Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to France.

Valerie Pecresse, head of the Ile-de-France greater Paris region, said the regional government had worked on the project for 18 months. She told TF1 there was “a very important meeting at the Elysee” that could lead to the agreement being signed.

“It is a project on the scale of Disneyland,” Pecresse said. She did not disclose the cost.

The Saudi crown prince and French President Emmanuel Macron were due to chair the first meeting of the Saudi-French strategic partnership council on Monday. Several agreements were expected to be signed during the visit.

The French presidency said on Friday that discussions were still continuing on some projects, but that many economic agreements across different sectors would be signed on Monday. Macron hosted the Saudi crown prince at the Esports World Cup on Sunday, with Monday's talks expected to focus on bilateral deals and events in the Middle East.
