Cuba says grid reconnected after nearly two-day blackout

Cuba's state electricity operator said Tuesday that the country's power grid had been reconnected after a nearly two-day nationwide blackout.

Authorities had struggled to bring generation facilities and connectors back online. The outage prompted frustration among Cubans who have faced six nationwide blackouts this year as well as rolling localised power cuts.
