Covent Garden stabbing: woman arrested after four hurt
A 47-year-old woman was arrested after four men were stabbed in Covent Garden in central London on Wednesday, London's Metropolitan Police said.
The Met said the woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and assault. Police identified the victims as men aged 34, 39, 42 and 52.
London Ambulance Service said the four patients were treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre.
The Met said the investigation was at an early stage but the incident was believed to be mental health related. Officers seized a pair of scissors at the scene, police said.
