Central African Republic crash kills at least 8: official
A road accident in Bimbo, south of the Central African Republic capital Bangui, killed at least eight people after a tanker carrying flammable liquids overturned, the government said Saturday.
The communications ministry statement described the toll from the Friday evening accident as provisional. It said the victims included local residents and other road users, and that 10 other people were injured.
A hospital source told AFP the number of dead was closer to 15.
Authorities said an investigation had been opened to determine what caused the accident.
