2030 Paralympics venue plan approved for French Alps

The International Paralympic Committee has approved the venue masterplan for the 2030 Paralympic Winter Games in the French Alps.

The IPC said its governing board approved the Alpes 2030 plan at a meeting in Bonn, Germany. It said the revised plan had “reduced complexity” and would improve the athlete experience.

The Games are planned around three competition clusters. La Clusaz will host nordic skiing, Courchevel will host alpine skiing and snowboarding, and Lyon will host ice hockey and curling.

The IPC said the Alpes 2030 organising committee had been reviewing the plan since July 2025, after presenting an earlier version in its 2024 bid.

The International Olympic Committee approved changes to the 2030 Olympic venue masterplan last month, but that plan is still awaiting final approval.
