Ukraine: Russian strikes kill at least 18, Zelensky says
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday that Russian strikes killed at least 18 people in a southeastern village and undermined hopes for progress toward peace after a rare local truce last week.
“After the humanitarian operation in Oleshky, there was a moment when the next steps could have shown that progress toward peace was possible,” Zelensky said on social media. “With these killings, Russia is sending an entirely opposite signal: Russia is counting on more killings.”
