Saudi says Houthi missile intercepted over Medina region
The Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen's Houthis said Thursday that it intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched toward Saudi Arabia's Medina region.
Coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki said on X that air defences intercepted and destroyed a missile launched by what he called the Houthi militia.
The Medina region is home to one of Islam's holiest cities.
Uncertainty notes
Casualties, damage and the precise interception location are unclear.
The Houthis' response, if any, was not included.
