MariaDB Enterprise Platform 2027 launches with AI tools

MariaDB said MariaDB Enterprise Platform 2027 is now generally available, adding AI tools, multi-region resilience features and a new brand identity.

The company said the release includes MariaDB Enterprise Server 12.3, MariaDB Exa, MariaDB GridGain, MariaDB MaxScale, MariaDB Enterprise Manager and the MariaDB Enterprise Kubernetes Operator.

MariaDB said the platform adds tools for AI agents, including Agent Memory, Semantic Cache, vector search and AI plugins for coding agents. It said MariaDB AI Retrieval will follow in public preview on MariaDB Cloud later this month.

The company claimed the release delivers 56% higher peak throughput than the previous major release in third-party testing sponsored by MariaDB. It also said native vector search now delivers up to 30% more queries per second than the last major release.

MariaDB said the platform runs on premises, in any cloud or as a managed service on MariaDB Cloud.
