Houthis say missile targeted Riyadh airport
Yemen's Houthis said on November 4 that they targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with a ballistic missile, after Saudi civil defence briefly warned of a “potential danger” in the Riyadh area.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the Iran-backed group carried out an operation against the airport.
In the early hours of the day, Saudi civil defence said the National Early Warning Platform in Riyadh Province had issued a warning of potential danger. The warning was lifted shortly afterwards.
Deadly Houthi attacks closed the airport for two weeks last month before it partially reopened in late October.
Uncertainty notes
The supplied information did not establish whether the missile hit the airport, was intercepted, or caused damage or casualties.
