Gaza strikes kill four including Hamas member, officials say

Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least four people on Tuesday, including a member of Hamas's security service and a teenage girl, Gaza health and security officials said.

Nasser Hospital in Hamas-run Gaza said three people were dead on arrival and several others were wounded after an Israeli strike hit a tent sheltering displaced people west of Khan Yunis in the south.

Hamas's interior ministry said Mohammed Shalouf, a member of its internal security service, was killed in an airstrike in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis. Israel's military said it had struck military operatives in the area, without giving more details.

In a separate strike, Gaza civil defence spokesman Mahmoud Bassal said a girl was killed when an Israeli drone hit a tent in a park in Gaza City. Al-Shifa hospital identified her as 17-year-old Rimas al-Madhoun and said she was dead on arrival.

Israel agreed in October 2025 to a ceasefire brokered by the United States but has since advanced further into Gaza. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said strikes targeting Hamas will continue and that Israel will not pull out of Gaza until Hamas gives up all of its weapons.

The Hamas-led October 7, 2023 attack on Israel killed 1,221 people, according to an AFP tally based on official Israeli figures. Israel's offensive in response has killed more than 74,600 people, according to Gaza's health ministry, whose figures are considered reliable by the United Nations.

Uncertainty notes

The Israeli military did not give further details about the operatives it said it struck.
The casualty figures come from Gaza officials and hospitals in territory run by Hamas.
